The Expedition Exhibition
We like being creative. We love seeing other people be creative. And most importantly we believe everyone has the capacity to be creative in their own way and that that is one of the best things about being human. Our thinking is, no matter where you’re at in life, a little bit of creativity can go a long way.
On board, no matter whether you are doing small hops between islands or crossing an ocean, you’ll be part of an adventure. It’s what we do. It’s what we love. We believe that adventure has far reaching benefits for everyone involved, whether that is being challenged to be out of your comfort zone, trying something different, working as a group to achieve a goal, challenging your perspectives or learning something new. Within all of this we also think it is great inspiration for being creative in whatever way that may be.
The expedition exhibition is a project showcasing life onboard. Its aim is to share the lives of the crew that come onboard, capture their journey whilst with us, get their unique perspective on life, any wisdom they have to share and a little something to remember them by.
Here’s a example of an entry from our time in Alaska and British Columbia. We caught, filleted and cooked the salmon in the traditional ways inspired by bushcraft expert Ray Mears and the indigenous people of British Columbia.

So what we ask is that whilst onboard, everyone has a little project to create a piece of art to enter into the expedition exhibition. This could literally be anything. It could be an activity that you lead, it could be a poem, a photo, a drawing, a story, music, crochet, woodwork, a fire on the beach, a beautiful rock you’ve found, literally anything you can think of or are inspired to do or find whilst on board. As long as it is something you can share, it’s good with us.
Alongside this little piece of art, we want to tell the stories of the crew that come along. So we invite everyone to do a short podcast with us at the end of the trip to ask them how they got on, reflect on the trip, give advice to anyone coming out and see what adventure means to them. We’ll also ask you to write down a couple of things during your trip to add to your profile when it is uploaded to the exhibition.
